Sometimes logistics isn’t about moving cargo—it’s about people stepping up when it matters most.
The Anchorth team recently faced an extremely time-sensitive export. Upon inspection with the DGM @dangerous team, we discovered the cargo had not been packed and labelled in accordance with dangerous goods requirements. More importantly, while checking every carton, we found that the dry ice originally packed with the frozen meat had completely dissipated.
That inspection made all the difference.
A total of 151 boxes had to be unpacked, repacked, and replenished with fresh dry ice to ensure the cargo remained compliant and the cold chain was maintained. Failure to identify this could have resulted in a failed shipment and compromised cargo.
What happened next was incredible.
The entire Anchorth office came to a standstill as our management team rolled up their sleeves and joined the operation. Side by side with the DGM team, we spent 6 hours in a -6°C cold storage facility, unpacking every box, inserting new dry ice, repacking, and preparing the shipment for export the very next day.
